Greetings from Tyler,
Are events transpiring at breakneck speed, or is it just the imagination of creative news writers? A whirlwind of competing claims, accusations and assertions have kept the writers and reporters busy ever since the 2016 election. Even by that standard, this has been an exceptional week.
Demonstrations against the Ayatolla’s theocratic regime have raged all across Iran this week, and are much larger than those in 2009. Reports say that they’ve died down after a week of unrest that saw 20 some killed, and hundreds arrested. Wouldn’t it be something if the Iranian people were to topple that terrorist regime? Iran has done nothing to moderate or join the civilized nations of the world in peace, which was supposed to be the outcome of the “Nuclear Deal.” It remains the world’s foremost sponsor of terror, and has spread its tentacles far and wide throughout the Middle East.
If you believe the mainstream narrative, the President almost initiated a nuclear exchange with North Korea. Why, Kim Jong might just unleash intercontinental missiles upon American cities after being insulted about the nuclear button he claimed was “on his desk at all times,” and the ensuing jibes about who really does or doesn’t have an operational nuclear arsenal. At least we’ve made it to Friday without a nuclear exchange, much to the surprise of a very concerned and sober collection of “experts.”
Some of us were around when President Reagan said Moscow had only matter of minutes before the bombs started falling, said as a joke during a microphone sound check. Worried network news personalities wrung their hands over the world-wide conflagration he would spark. They recoiled in horror when Reagan called the Soviet Union an evil empire. “Doesn’t he realize the danger in which he’s placing all of us,” they wanted to know? He’s reckless, possibly insane, and liable to instigate a nuclear exchange inadvertently! That’s paraphrased, but accurate.
The current version of Big Media vs. the President of the United States comes spiced with a book said to be “Rocking the Nation.” It comes from an author with spotty credentials, who claims nearly ALL West Wing employees described Trump as a “child” who demands instant gratification. That’s exactly what the anchors and panelists on CNN have been saying for a full year! “He’s a bully… He’s like a child who’s not getting his way… He’s clearly unhinged, mentally unstable, unfit for office.” The funny thing is that no one who was actually in Trump’s inner circle (save perhaps Steve Bannon) remembers anyone in the White House saying any such thing.
The mainstream was knocked completely off balance by Trump’s win in the first place, and they can’t believe they haven’t managed to get him charged with a crime, impeached for abuse of power or hounded out of D. C. by the daily humiliation they’ve dished out. But they’re about to get electrocuted as the “Deep State,” which incredibly, really does exist, finally gets exposed. The cracks in the dam, to which we referred a couple of weeks ago, are widening. Those who thought they’d ride off into the sunset under the presidency of Hillary Clinton are in imminent danger of being exposed. Not to you or me, we’ve known there was corruption “at the highest levels” for years. But the general public is about to be dragged, some kicking and screaming, into reality.
The “Thought Police,” meaning those who run the social media giants and the mainstream news outlets, have been telling us what to believe, who to believe, and forcing their spin down the throats of their audiences forcibly. They haven’t let up, and a toll has undoubtedly been taken on many if not most casual observers. Everything that threatens their conclusions, and there’s been plenty, is a “distraction” designed to deflect attention from the REAL scandal, which of course is collusion with “the Russians” to steal the election.
And it’s not just here at home. The story has circled the globe, leading many enemies and allies alike to the conclusion that this was a very short-term administration, soon to be brought down by the fine men and women of the F. B. I. and Department of Justice. You know, the ones who left their personal opinions and feelings at the front door and did their important work by the book.
How many “sterling reputations” will be destroyed if the truth is allowed out into the public? It seems there are always candidates with “unimpeachable character” to get to the bottom of every Constitutional crisis. But they never leave with their reputations intact.
It was obvious early last year that a great battle was underway, that would ultimately result in a virtual bloodbath of destroyed careers and ruined reputations. Incredibly, it’s still dragging on and may yet for some time to come. Let’s hope it doesn’t drag on for another year or two, but it might. The stakes for the United States, its allies and enemies around the world couldn’t higher.
We can give thanks that the government’s regulatory boot is being removed from the necks of many productive industries, and that we won’t be taxed out of existence under the false premise of global warming! Several congregations will not be meeting this Sabbath due to dangerous roads and sub-freezing conditions. Yes, we’re aware that Al Gore and his fabulously rich allies say it’s just another element of man-made climate change, but we believe that God is on his throne and perfectly capable of managing the awesome systems He designed and put in motion. Have a great Sabbath.

Why Keep Saturday for Sunday? It’s a fair question.
Anyone who has been reading these updates or otherwise visiting our websites, both the US website, and this the Australian website for GTAEA, will know that we are a Sabbath keeping organisation. Why?
The answer is straightforward. In short, the Bible plainly states that on the 7th day of creation (recreation if you understand the first few verses of Genesis correctly, God rested. And He commanded that we should also rest from our labor on that day – every week, every 7th day. Later, He reminded the Israelites of the Sabbath. They, along with the rest of humanity at that time had forgotten the Sabbath. God says, “Remember the Sabbath day , to keep it holy.” Exodus 20:8
Why? “ 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, northy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days theLORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed thesabbath day, and hallowed it.”
