“The World Tomorrow”
Now there is a program title with a lot of cache and memories. Memories of Herbert W Armstrong and his son, Garner Ted Armstrong, bringing the world the good news of the coming Kingdom of God!
In the 1960’s and 1970’s “The World Tomorrow” program was ubiquitous on radio and later television in the United States and many countries around the world including Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The program also reached Great Britain but only through Radio Luxemberg or so called pirate radio stations broadcasting from ships outside Britain’s territorial waters.
During it’s heyday “The World Tomorrow” and Garner Ted Armstrong was heard on over 300 radio stations in the United States alone and heard by 30 million people a week. It was true that you could drive for hundreds of miles through the night, both in the USA and Australia, and be able to pick up the broadcast continually during such a trip.
During his 20 years presenting “The World Tomorrow” program Garner Ted Armstrong covered dozens of Biblical topics but concentrated on prophecy – what the Bible foretold lay ahead for the nations of the world but especially those nations identified as Ephraim and Mannaseh, sons of Joseph, the two brother nations destined thousands of years ago by a blessing from their grandfather, Jacob, who’s name was changed to Israel, that they were to be a nation and a company of nations – a great nation and a “great” company of nations of world significance. Who are they?
In later years Garner Ted Armstrong wrote his own book, “Europe and America in Prophecy” (available in hard copy free of charge through this website on request) proving the identity of these two brother nations blessed by destiny and their grandfather, Israel, to world dominating greatness. And what Bible prophecy foretells lies ahead for these nations, whose ancestry derives from none other than Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are part of the so called “lost” Ten Tribes of Israel” along with other nations of north west Europe, such as Holland, Norway, Sweden, to name several, that also are substantially made up of other tribes of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel.
The original “The World Tomorrow“ program offered insights of hope and solutions from the Bible to the world’s intractable slide toward oblivion – a slide that continues to this day. That hope and those solutions are still valid and still preached in the GTA programs and sermons found on this site – and in the many booklets available for the asking. The real “World Tomorrow” offers the only solution ultimately that is going to save this world and bring lasting peace and security. That hope and that solution to this world’s problems is the return of Jesus Christ of Nazareth in all power.
Christ is going to return “As The Sun In His Strength” and as” The Warring, Conquering Christ”. That is “The World Tomorrow” we can all believe in. Finally, there will be peace at last. It is “The Best News You Could Ever Hear”. Take the time to read about it.
