In the night part of the day Jesus Christ died (the days commencing at sunset) and not long after sunset, on the 14th of Nisan under the Jewish calendar – the day that the Jews, in the late afternoon of that same day, sacrificed their Passover lambs, Christ called together His disciples in an upper room and over a meal gave to them the symbols by which those disciples, and all Christians to follow, would memorialise Christ’s death annually – each year on the same night in which He was betrayed.
This Passover service is from 2003. A few of the then current references to Iraq and the like are now history but in the service Ted Armstrong covers a broad stretch of Bible truths that will never be dated.
The Lord’s Supper in 2012 is on Thursday night April 5. Christians who understand that “Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us” will be observing the same symbols that Christ instituted as a memorial to His death on the night He was betrayed. This solemn service has many aspects worth the time to view this video.
