Sermon – “The Resurrections” Part One – Garner Ted Armstrong Sermon, August 1, 1998

Many churches teach that you go to heaven when you die – if you are “good” or “saved”. They also teach that if you are bad, a sinner, you go to a place they call “hell” – a supposed ever burning place of eternal torment where the condemned sinner never really burns up. Does any of that sound logical? Does it sound like the product of the mind of a merciful God?

In a two part series on “The Resurrections” Garner Ted Armstrong expounds what the Bible actually says happens when we die, and when we are resurrected and just how many resurrections the Bible says are to occur. Many who understand that the Bible nowhere teachers that the righteous go to heaven when they die, (because they understand we do not have immortal souls) or to the other place, do understand the resurrections. Some erroneously think there are only two resurrections. As Ted Armstrong explains there are actually three. Be sure to watch Part Two for the full exposition on the Third resurrection. The one you don’t want to be part of.
