Sermon – “Is Christ Divided?” – Garner Ted Armstrong Sermon – March 16, 2002

1 Corinthians 1: 1013
“10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptised in the name of Paul?”

The Church of God is divided into many “organisations” claiming to be doing the Lord’s work. But what about those that would seek to cause division within any of those organisations? And there are those that do attempt, often successfully, to do just that. There are many scriptures that plainly state that in the last days many would come proclaiming Christ and deceive many, that many false prophets would come along and – deceive many (Matt. 24). That many wolves would enter in among the church and “spare not the flock” (Acts 20:29).

This GTA sermon reviews the problem predicted in the scriptures and so often lived out – and gives a warning.
