Sermon – “Born Free” – Delivered July 3, 1999 by Garner Ted Armstrong

This sermon was delivered a day before Independence Day 1999. It reflects on the price paid in blood that gave the USA the freedoms it’s citizenry enjoy even to this day, though in some areas those freedoms may have been curtailed by intrusive government. The truth of freedom being paid for in blood can be applied to all of the western world through two world wars and lesser conflicts. Mr. Armstrong gives a vivid discourse on why we even today owe such a debt of gratitude to those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Then, of course, there is the freedom that Christ’s sacrifice has provided to all those who have taken up Christ’s cause, a comparative few. But eventually the whole of humankind will know that freedom and who paid for it.
