GTA TV Ep. #0218 – ” Are You Being Called Now?” – Garner Ted Armstrong

How do we become ‘christians’. Where does the process start?

“44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day” : John 6:44

Millions believe they have a calling from God. Jesus Christ stated no man could come to Him unless the Father drew that person – that is opened a person’s mind to spiritual understanding. That is far more than a spiritual ‘feeling’ or a self selecting ‘belief’ that one is called. If you are called you will certainly know it. One of the first things almost all of those truly called of God face is the ‘test’ commandment. Yes, you got it, the Fourth Commandment – Exodus 20:8

” 8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

Obedience to that one commandment separates the wheat from the chaff of those God calls.

But of course there is much more. View the TV program write for the offered material or view it online.

If you decide to take up God’s calling – if indeed He is calling you then remember this as Jesus Christ said; “32Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” .(Luke12:32)

It is a long continuing journey to achieve salvation, entry into God’s Kingdom. But Jesus Christ said He would be with us every step. But then He also said, “14For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matt. 22:14) The whole parable is well worth a good study (Matt.22: 1-14), especially as Christ also said “27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish”. (Luke 14:27-29)
