Acts 8:27 to 40 tells of Philip’s encounter with a high ranking official of Ethiopia who was a eunuch in the Court of Queen Candace. This eunuch had been to Jerusalem and bought a scroll of the Scriptures and was reading it and not understanding, until Philip expounded the text of the scripture to him. As a result the Eunuch sought and was baptised by full emersion in ‘abundant’ water, into the Church of God.
