Sermon – “Would Be Revolutionaries” – Garner Ted Armstrong Sermon, May 12, 2001

In this “Personal Appearance” sermon delivered in Las Vegas in May, 2001, Garner Ted Armstrong explores the beliefs and motivations of Christ’s disciples during Christ’s there and half year ministry when He spoke often of the coming Kingdom of God on Earth. Did the disciples think they were going to moulder away for a couple of thousand years before Christ established His Kingdom on Earth? Or did they really think that He was going to establish His Kingdom then and there, restoring the throne of David, driving out the Romans and freeing the Jews from foreign occupation. Was their initial zeal based upon knowing they had a two thousand year wait or on the firm belief that Christ was going to act then and there?
