Sermon – “Report to General Quarters” – Garner Ted Armstrong Sermon

When war ships sound “general quarters” it is a call to action. Every crew member knows his position and his role. What about in God’s Church? Do the members of God’s church recognise the urgency of their calling, the urgency of the situation? Do they understand that the principle task of the Church is to support the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Do they know their role in that task?

The survival of a warship in battle depends upon the crews actions when general quarters is sounded. It depends on every crew member being in position and knowing their job. It depends upon the crews devotion to duty and sense of obligation, responsibility, mate-ship, discipline – even patriotism. Do the called out members of God’s church have what it takes? If you are one this is worth a good review.
