The Book of Revelation, Chapters 2 & 3 contain letters direct from Christ (see Red Letter Bible) to seven (7) churches that at the time the book was written existed in Asia Minor. Some have taken these seven churches, beginning with Ephesus and ending with Laodicia as emblematic of seven actual eras of the Church that Christ established. In doing so they ignore the admitted fact that all of these churches co-existed at the same time in the first century A.D. That is, the luke warm attitudes of the people at Laodicea existed contemporaneously with the zealous, patient and faithful attitudes of Ephesus and everything in between. And that in the Churches of God in the latter part of the 20th Century and early 21st century all of the attitudes described exist side by side. But then in times of Tribulation to come who is worthy of God’s protection and how will that be accomplished? Garner Ted Armstrong expounds again the truth of the Bible on this topic.
