Sermon – “1st Day Feast Of Tabernacles” – Garner Ted Armstrong Sermon, 1999

Zechariah 14:16
“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles”.

Very few seem to understand the importance that God places on the observance of His Feasts. In Leviticus 23 among other places God plainly speaks of HIS Feast Days, including the weekly Sabbath, Passover and Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles and the Last Great Day. Most simply regard these days as Jewish holy days. But God says they are His Sabbaths, His Holy Days.

And if upon Christ’s return to establish His Kingdom the keeping of the Feast of Tabernacles is the very first edict He will issue to the remnant nations that fought against Him then you need to ask, Is it important that I keep this Feast now? On this site you will find Mr. Armstrong’s sermon, “The First Great Edict“.

You can also access Mr. Armstrong’s booklet “How Seasonal Holy Days Reveal God’s Plan

If few know they should keep Tabernacles then even fewer know that all of God’s annual Holy days taken together set out the series of events that will bring about the salvation of all mankind. After all, as the scripture says, God is not willing that any should perish but the incorrigibly wicked will be dealt with.
