2017/12/2 – “The Preservation of God’s Word” – Stan Roberts sermon

There was a time when the “higher critics” thought writing did not exist at the time of Moses or before. Some still cling to this myth.So how could Moses have written the first five books of the Bible? Well, over 150 years ago archeologists found hard evidence of writing dateable to prior to Moses – writing in stone.

This sermon surveys the internal Biblical evidence that writing was extant such that it is plain Moses did write the books attributed to him, and the other writers of the Bible likewise wrote down their books
of the Bible. Mr. Roberts also briefly surveys the archeological finds that demonstrate writing (in ancient scripts and hieroglyphics) was in fact extant – admittedly restricted to the highly educated priest and scribe classes of different societies.
